It gives young players the chance to make friends, represent their community, learn the values of teamwork and compete in a supportive environment. Much of that experience is made possible by dedicated volunteers who give up their evenings and weekends because they care about the next generation.

But what happens when your child starts asking for more?

If you’ve got a child in U15–U17 rugby, you’ll know that trials can feel intense. For players, it’s a mix of excitement and nerves. For parents, it’s pride sitting alongside worry. And for academy coaches, it’s the pressure of making big decisions about a large number of players in a very short window.
